Field trip to DUMBO:

The morning class will meet in the classroom, or meet at 10:30 the BAC Gallery, 55 Washington Street, Suite 218, Brooklyn

BY SUBWAY
Take the A or C train to High Street (first stop in Brooklyn). Exit at the Cadman Plaza West stairwell towards the rear of the train. Cross Cadman Plaza Park to Cadman Plaza East. Take a left on Cadman Plaza East, which turns into Washington Street and continue walking under the Brooklyn Bridge overpass, towards the river.

Take the F train to York Street (first stop in Brooklyn). Exit the station and go right onto Jay Street and take an immediate left on York Street. Walk three blocks on York Street and take a right on Washington Street.


Afternoon class: meet at 2:15PM at the A.I.R. Gallery, 111 Front Street, #228


Subway
Take the F train to York St. (the first stop in Brooklyn)
Turn right as you exit the station, walk 1 block down hill to Front st. Turn left on Front St. and walk 2 1/2 blocks (you will pass under the manhattan bridge). 111 Front st. will be on your right (look for bright orange)
or
Take the A, C train to High St. and exit at Cadman Plaza West/Henry St Walk across the street and through Cadman Plaza Park. Curve to the left and walk downhill three blocks towards the water & under two overpasses. This road will turn into Washinton St. and you will hit Front St., turn right to reach 111 Front st.

Along with the Jack Tworkov show at UBS, the James Ensor and Ron Arad exhibitions at MOMA,

September 10, second class: Field trip to UBS Gallery, 1285 Ave. of the Americas (6th Ave.) at 51st St.
to see Jack Tworkov retrospective. Then to Museum of Modern Art, 53rd St. between 5th and 6th Avenues to see James Ensor and Ron Arad shows.

Bring paper and pencils, kids. And if you've done an artist's statement already, bring it along to update and polish.
Remember, no class on April 2nd--go to PS1 at some point before the next class discussion on April 9th.

Field trip to MOMA

Change of plans for this week's field trip--we'll be going to the Museum of Modern Art to see the retrospective of Martin Kippenberger. There's been a lot of buzz about this show: read the review by Jerry Saltz in New York Magazine (click on title of this post to access it).
Morning class: meet in classroom at 9:30 or in the Museum lobby at 10:20 or so.
Afternoon class: meet in museum lobby at 2:15.
